2014 Anacheeva X Crown Jewels

3 year old Bay Filly

Sire: Anacheeva Dam: Crown Jewels

ANACHEEVA - CROWN JEWELS Filly (Super Vobis qualified)

By a Caulfield Guineas-winning son of outstanding DANZIG stallion ANABAA, this half-sister to four winners hails from a strong local family, one that just keeps churning out the winners.

The winner of four of his 12 starts - also taking out the G3 Caulfield Guineas Prelude and the Listed Mitchell McKenzie Stakes - ANACHEEVA has never served big books (his oldest progeny are just four), but has been represented by 20 winners including the G3 winner ANA ROYALE who was G1 placed on multiple occasions.

Bred on the highly successful Danzig/Biscay cross, this filly is out of the city winning Sydney mare Crown Jewels whose sire TWIG MOSS has proven to be an outstanding broodmare sire influence - his daughters to date producing 73 Stakes winners including the G1 gallopers Fairy King Prawn, Dr Grace, King's High, Island Morn, Fire Arch, Easy Rocking, The Delegator, Mossman, Final Fantasy, Valedictum, Asia and My Brightia.

This filly is the final foal for Crown Jewels who has produced the Hong Kong winner Daneman Hill and the multiple winners Princess Gem and Master Shaft - as well as the dam of Listed winner Jackpot Prince.

Crown Jewels is a daughter of the high-class mare DIAMOND SHOWER, winner of seven races including the G1 VRC Oaks and the G1 AJC Sires' Produce Stakes.

All eight of DIAMOND SHOWER’s foals to race have been winners including the G2 winner DOUBLE YOUR BET (in turn, dam of the G3 gallopers LE DESTINA and EXCHEQUER and grandam of Listed winners Fuld's Bet, Irish Bet and Cheval de Troy) and the G3 winner DIAMOND DANE.

DIAMOND SHOWER’s Stakes winning dam Jewel Flight was also successful at stud, producing six winners - and she is ancestress of the Group winners Our Cashel, Diamond Cashel, Royal Asscher and Ruud Not To.

This filly is bred on the same cross as the outstanding Group One winner in VIRAGE DE FORTUNE who also hails from this same female family. Further back is also the family of the Champion Mare EMANCIPATION, the Golden Slipper winner HARTSHILL and fellow G1 winners STRATUM STAR, RUMYA, RAILINGS, SKILLED, WILLOW MAGIC and SMALL MINDS.

All up, this filly’s dam line has produced some outstanding gallopers under the first six dams including 14 Group One winners. There are also 27 individual Group 2 and Group 3 winners as well as 11 Listed winners including this seasons newest stakes winner in Jackpot Prince.
An attractive, eye-catching type, this filly has impressed her trainer Tony Noonan who comments , “…she has a great walk, strong hindquarters, deep girth and a great shoulder. She has a lovely feminine head on her and she is the type of filly I really like to train. She has already shown me in her last preparation something good to want to have her back in the stable in preparation for a late Autumn racing campaign.”
