Even the awful weather didn’t prevent a large number of Russell’s owners attend the BBQ and parade at his Flemington stables on Saturday morning. When the rain eased a little, all 3 horses currently trained by Russell (Delegance, Al Samer x Nightly Class Filly as well as the Purrealist x Portview Colt) were paraded for owners. All looked a treat and photos will be online later this week.

It was great to see the 3rd city winner for First Season sire Purrealist salute at the Valley on Friday night to make it 3 from 4 starters for the Freshman sire. His progeny have hit the ground running and he is currently Leading First Season by winners as well as prizemoney - and we still have 2 shares remaining in our 2YO Colt (pictured, huddling out of the rain). We're also entering into the last couple of days of the naming competition so if you have not yet submitted names, email admin@clanbrooke.com asap.

And how did our guest tipster fare this past weekend? Well, I would have to say it was a pretty good effort. Rod's Best Bet of the day, Cash Bound, in Race 2, won, and his Best Each-way bet, Musical Hit ,finished second. Well done Rod.
