Weekend Racing

It’s always nice when a stable horse resumes at a city track. It’s even nicer when that horse wins....as `Delegance’ owners experienced late Saturday afternoon at Flemington. The filly, racing for the first time as a 3YO, had a little to prove after a disappointing last start in July. The upgrade to a Good 2 shortly before Delegance’s race was not part of Russell’s plan, who opted to race the filly as an alternative to a trial – ultimately a lucrative decision on Russell’s part. Delegance led from start to finish with her strengthened physique helping her stave off the opposition in the closing stages.
Her Super Vobis status also ensured that her take home cheque was over $65K – not a bad day’s effort!. Congratulations to connections. May the fun continue.

Skystreamer also raced this weekend just gone, fronting on Friday night at the Valley at his second start since a brief yet much needed break from city training. Notching his second fourth placing on a city track in as many starts, Skystreamer indicated that with a good ride, he may just be back in the money very soon.

Naming - We have just today received confirmation that our Al Samer x Nightly Class Filly will be known as `Sahara Night.’ Also trained by Russell Cameron at Flemington, she is in full work and we are hoping she will hit the track in the New Year.
