Strapping Colt by exciting Second Season Sire

Can’t afford a FASTNET ROCK? Why not consider a son of FASTNET from the family of Australia’s great broodmare monarch in Denise’s Joy? Enter STRYKER, an expensive Easter Yearling who fetched $600K to find a home with the Ingham family. He was an extremely talented racehorse, competitive at 2 and improving as a 3YO to win the Group 3 BTC Classic in Queensland and finishing third in the Group 1 Galaxy Stakes. STRYKER retired to stud with all the attributes of a great sire – 2YO form, Stakes wins throughout his Classic year and 2 Group 1 placings in strong form races.

With a host of smart early Metropolitan winners in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney as well as stakes performers Miss Loren 3d. 2014 MRC Debutante S. [L]; She Is Stryking 3d. 2014 Counties RC Murdoch Newell S. [L], under his belt as a freshman sire, all 10 STRYKER Lots offered at the recent Vobis sale were snapped up. Notching his first Stakes winner this month in STRYKUM(SAJC Queen Adelaide S. [L]) and with only a handful of progeny to race,STRYKER’s early statistics are encouraging, with almost 1/3 of his young runners victorious at the track. Clanbrooke stable filly `Stryking Love’ made owners proud when she competed in the Adelaide Magic Millions 2YO Classic earlier this year. Producing tough, ready-made racehorses, STRYKER is a Victorian sire Clanbrooke believes is worth supporting.

This is the fourth foal for unraced dam GREAT ACT. Second dam Pleasant Performer, a stakes performer herself (Delaware Crowned S. [L]), is a strong producer with four winners from 4 to race including 8-time winning Mitla. Third dam MIDDLE STAGE is a G3 winner {Aqueduct Athenia H. [G3]) and the producer of 5 winners from 6 to race.

Selling to $220K on the Gold Coast in his freshman year, STRYKER’s progeny have been well received in the sales ring again this year. STRYKER seems to be passing on his athleticism and striking physique to his progeny and this filly is no exception. This filly is both Super Vobis and Vobis Gold qualified and nominated for the Inglis bonus series and looks a real early running type. She would make a great investment for owners looking for a quick return.
