Clanbrooke Managing Director Dean Humphries says… “Beautifully balanced colt with great HQ and girth. Good overstep and temperament.”

By an emerging stallion out of a winning mare by a champion – this handsome colt certainly ticks a lot of boxes!

His sire Blue Point by the great Shamardal was one of the best of UK’s two-year-olds and he just kept getting better – at the age of five earning the title of Champion Sprinter.

The only horse ever to win three Group 1 sprints at Royal Ascot, he also proved himself on the international stage, taking on and defeating a couple of Australian horses when winning the big sprint on Dubai World Cup Day.

A popular stallion in both hemispheres, Blue Point is really doing the job with 15 stakes winners already. And amongst that tally are three Gr.1 winners.

His Australian record is improving all the time; with his oldest local progeny just three he has been well represented by the Gr.3 juvenile Icarian Dream and the Magic Millions Guineas winner Bosustow. And there is much more to come with another five of Blue Point’s lightly raced Australian bred runners earning black-type.

This is the time to buy into a son of Blue Point – he is a stallion on an upward spiral!

This fellow is out of the lightly raced mare Little Gypsy who showed good talent, not always having the best of luck. An impressive debut winner as a spring three-year-old, she also kicked off her second campaign with a win.

Her first two foals are both multiple winners including the Sandown two-year-old winner Flying Concello whilst her third foal On The Move, a $200,000 yearling, was recently placed at just his second outing… a win looking close.

Little Gypsy is one of the four winners produced by the Peintre Celebre mare Gypsy Giaconda – also dam of the stakes placed Roma Giaconda and the city winners Tips And Beers and Alvitas.

Gypsy Giaconda’s stakes placed dam Leica Vista by the great Sir Tristram produced the Gr.2 Sandown Guineas winner Moon Dragon and the triple Listed winner Niblick and she is out of the dual Gr.2 winner Leica Western.

What a terrific family this has been, consistently represented at the highest level by the likes of Leica Smile, Redding, Nothin’ Leica Dane, Leica Lover, Leica Show, Pharaoh and Leica Planet – all Gr.1 winners.

There is good depth to this colt’s pedigree including duplications of the famed mare Somethingroyal via her legendary son Secretariat (dam sire of Shamardal’s grandsire Storm Cat) and his half-brother Sir Gaylord – noting that Little Gypsy carries three strains of that influential stallion.

Statistics are only kept for five generations but within those parameters alone Secretariat and Sir Gaylord have combined in the pedigrees of 2876 stakes winners including 321 Gr.1 winners.

This colt’s dam sire Lonhro needs no introduction as a racehorse or stallion – he excelled in both departments. And his daughters are continuing on with the good work, producing 79 stakes winners.

5% Shares are $3750 (including Super Vobis nomination, Inglus Bonus Series Nomination, Breaking-in, insurance for 12 months and agistment to 30.4.2025).
