2010 Rock of Gibralter x Westernport Bay 1 year old Chestnut Colt
Clanbrooke's new Joint Venture `Sharing Winners' presents…
A Chestnut Colt by World Champion miler
ROCK OF GIBRALTER
A son of the immortal Danehill, ROCK OF GIBRALTER was bred and trained by lauded Coolmore trainer Aiden O’Brien throughout his two racing seasons (2001-02). A dual G1 winner at 2 (Newmarket Dewhurst S. [G1]; Longchamp Grand Criterium [G1]), amongst his 4 Group victories as a juvenile, ROCK OF GIBRALTER went on to win a further 5 x G1’s over the mile at 3 (Newmarket 2000 Guineas [G1]; Royal Ascot St James's Palace S. [G1]; Goodwood Sussex S. [G1]; Curragh Irish 2000 Guineas [G1]; Longchamp Prix du Moulin de Longchamp [G1]). In all, he celebrated 7 consecutive G1 victories, breaking Mill Reef’s 30 year record in the process. ROCK OF GIBRALTER was subsequently crowned European Horse of the Year in 2002.
Shuttling for Coolmore between Australia and his Irish home, ROCK OF GIBRALTER has an enviable record at stud. The sire of 559 individual winners and a winning strike rate above 55%, ROCK OF GIBRALTER lays claim to 68 Stakes Winners, 7 x G1 winners amongst them including 2009 Epsom Handicap [G1] winner, ROCK KINGDOM. Other notable Australian performers include LA ROCKET (St. Georges S. [G2]), ROCK ME BABY (Light Fingers S. [G2]) as well as 9 Group 3 victors including GAMBLE ME, GOLDEN ARCHER and MURTAJILL.
WESTERNPORT BAY (by Western Symphony), the dam of this colt, has produced 3 winners at stud. Second dam FLUKEY SEAS, a half sister to 1999 Hong Kong Horse of the Year INDIGENOUS, is the dam of 4 winners incl. city winning Pelennium (AJC Seppelt Wines H.). Third dam, SEA PORT has foaled 9 winners including staying Champion INDIGENOUS, winner of both the Hong Kong Gold Cup [G1] and Hong Kong Champions & Chater Cup [G1] twice amongst his 8 Group victories and numerous Stakes placings. This is also the family of JESSICABEEL, winner of the AJC Sydney Cup [G1].
This colt is a strong, scopey type of colt with short cannons and a good overstep, accentuated by good hip to hock ratio. He is a nice walking colt who should develop into a miler.
All at a terrific price...

Bay colt by Eliza Park son of Storm Cat
STATUE OF LIBERTY
STATUE OF LIBERTY was a 2YO Group winner at Royal Ascot (G3 Coventry S.) and a Group 1 performing miler at 3 (2d. G1 Goodwood Sussex S.). A son of the mighty Storm Cat out of a Seattle Slew mare, STATUE OF LIBERTY’s dam is a ¾ sister to Champion racehorse and sire A.P. Indy, sire of leading Darley stallion BERNARDINI. He is also a half brother to leading US stallion Lemon Drop Kid, the sire of Kentucky Oaks [G1] winner LEMONS FOREVER.
Retired to stud after a brief 7 start career, it is his new vocation in the breeding barn that has attracted attention, siring 235 winners including 11 Stakes Winners to date and boasting a reputable 51% runners to winners. On home turf, it is HAY LIST, the winner of an impressive 14 races incl. the G1 All Aged S. amongst his 6 Group victories who has been shining the torch for his sire. Amassing almost $2m. prizemoney to date, HAY LIST is the only horse to get anywhere near BLACK CAVIAR, runner-up to the Champion mare on 4 occasions at the highest level. Other notable performers for STATUE OF LIBERTY include MIC MAC (G2 Memsie S.), DAN BARONESS (G3 Champagne S.), and Tempest Tost.
This is the third foal for Umaris, a triple city winning Group placed (2d. VRC AV Kewney S.[G2]) dam whose wins include a 5 length victory at Randwick. Her only foal to race, Reachfar, recently placed at Morphetville at his third outing. Second dam, Marauding mare ARISE, is also a city winner (STC Hialeah H.) and the dam of 4 winners from 1100m to 2000m from 5 foals to race. Third dam WINEGLASS (by Lunchtime) was a Group 2 winner (STC Kingston Town [G2]) and dam of 8 prolific winners, four of them in town.
This colt displays an exceptional temperament and shows great length from hip to hock which manifests itself in a good overstep and a nice, easy, loping walk. He should develop into a sprinter/miler. As always, Clanbrooke will be retaining a share in our colt so come and join us for the ride.

2009 Good Journey x Race The Heart 2 year old Chestnut Colt
Misyndications Presents....
2YO Gelding by Classy Miler
GOOD JOURNEY
**Gelding now broken in and having a break**
GOOD JOURNEY, a son of NUREYEV (sire of 135 Stakes Winners and sire sons incl. THEATRICAL, PEINTRE CELEBRE STRAVINSKY and SPINNING WORLD to name a few), raced 16 times exclusively on turf, was unplaced on only one occasion and won 7 races, placing at a further 8 starts. Staking his claim with a win in the Woodbine Atto Mile [G1], GOOD JOURNEY went on to win 3 more races at G2 level. GOOD JOURNEY confirmed his world class miler status when he ran third in the G1 Breeders Cup Mile, passing the post ahead of runner-up ROCK OF GIBRALTER.
GOOD JOURNEY stood at Victoria's Ealing Park for 4 seasons between 2003 and 2006. From only 23 live foals in his first crop he produced 15 runners for 11 winners including G1 winner GRAND JOURNEY (WATC Derby [G1[), as well as dual G2 winner SOUND JOURNEY (MVRC Alistair Clark Stakes [G2]; Crystl Mile [G2]). GOOD JOURNEY has, since 2008, been a resident of Cornerstone Stud and also shuttles to the USA where he has produced a further Stakes winner and two Stakes placegetters.
RACE THE HEART, the dam of this gelding, is a ¾ sister to G1 SAJC South Australian Derby winner CHEVIOT and was herself a dual city winner for trainer Trent Pennuto and Clanbrooke Racing back in the early 2000’s. At stud, she has 1 winner from 1 to race. Second dam, CERRAQUITA, boasts a perfect 5 - 5 record at stud. Her winners include CHEVIOT (see above) and dual city winning Salquita. Third dam, MEMPHIS, also won twice in town.
GOOD JOURNEY covered 116 mares in his first Season at Cornerstone Stud, only slightly less than he had covered in his entire career to that point. This gelding is from that crop, the 2YO’s of season 2011-12. A pedigree with good running depth and a lovely correct horse to boot, come join this winning combination.

LEASE
2YO grey gelding by one of Victoria’s most consistent sires...
DASH FOR CASH
DASH FOR CASH, by AJC Doncaster Handicap [G1] winner SECRET SAVINGS was a winner and Stakes placegetter at 2 (Pago Pago Stakes [G2]). As a 3YO he won back to back G1’s (Australian Guineas [G1] and MRC Futurity Stakes [G1]) that capped off a four race winning streak which included the Debonair Stakes [G3] and the Australia Day Vase [G3]. DASH FOR CASH was also placed in some of Australia’s best races including his unlucky half-neck runner-up to NORTHERLY in the G1 Turnbull Stakes, a 2nd to LONHRO in the STC George Ryder Stakes [G1] and another 2nd in the Doncaster Handicap [G1] where he finished ahead of LONHRO (4th).
Competing against and triumphant over some of the Champions of Australian turf, DASH FOR CASH’s tenacious spirit and resilience won lots of admirers. His last race, an unlucky 2nd in the G1 All Aged Stakes at Randwick, was the 4th time he’d been a G1 runner-up in just five weeks. An outstanding performer over 1000m to 2000m, DASH FOR CASH retired to stud with 5 wins, 10 seconds and 3 thirds and almost $2m in prizemoney.
Champion Freshman sire in Victoria and leading Australian sire of 2YO’s (with 4 or more crops on the ground), DASH FOR CASH now boasts a 60% runners/winners record and consistently produces tough racehorses in his own image. This 2YO colt is no exception.
DALSONIC, the winning dam of this gelding, is a half sister to DALZING, the dam of G2 winner (MRC St. George S.[G2]) and four time G1 runner-up OUR SMOKING JOE, as well as recent G3 Caulfield winner SMOKIN' JOEY. Second dam, DALAAL has produced six winners at stud, four of them winning on multiple occasions whilst third dam MIRA MILA MILICA has thrown 4 winners including G1 victor TAJ QUILLO (VRC Gadsden S. [G1]; 3d. VATC Futurity S. [G1]), as well as multiple Stakes winner MAGICAL STORM (Ballarat Cup [L]; VRC Matriarch S. [L]; Kilmore Cup [L]).
This gelding has done all the hard work. He has been broken in and is not far from hitting the track. ....

2009 Oratorio x Academia Gelding 2 year old Bay Colt
Bay gelding by triple G1 winning Coolmore Stallion
ORATORIO (IRE)
A son of DANEHILL, ORATORIO was a G1 winning juvenile (Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere [G1] in record time) and Champion 2YO Colt in France with 3 Stakes wins under his belt. Training on as a 3YO to match it with the best in Europe, ORATORIO beat English Derby winner MOTIVATOR twice at the highest level (Eclipse S. [G1]; Irish Champion S.[G1]), finishing his racing career with 3 x G1 victories and a further 4 x G1 placings to his name.
The UK’s Leading First Season sire in 2009, this Coolmore shuttler is not to be confused with the WA-based sire of the same name. ORATORIO’s (IRE) oldest progeny now 4YO’s, his first crop hit the ground running, recording his first Stakes success in the G1 Dewhurst S. with both 1st (BEETHOVEN) and 2nd (FENCING MASTER) past the post, the first sire to celebrate such an achievement since the late, great SADLER’S WELLS.
ORATORIO’s first Australian crop include NZ’s BANCHEE, winner of the G1 Diamond S. On home turf, MANAWANUI became the 14th Stakes winner and first Australian G1 winner for ORATORIO when he claimed victory in the Golden Rose on 10th September. He cemented his credentials as a $7 Caulfield Guineas prospect when winning decisively by 2L at his next start (Stan Fox S. [G2]). MANAWANUI joins TORIO’S QUEST (Qld Guineas [G2] 1600m), a 2011 Cox Plate hopeful, MOURINHO (Tasmanian Derby [G3] 2200m) and UPSALA (Whangarei Breeders’ S. [L]), all carrying the torch for ORATORIO in the Southern hemisphere.
ACADEMIA, the unraced dam of this gelding, is by Mark of Esteem. At stud, she has produced 2 winners to date whilst her 4YO ELVSTROEM mare is just getting going now and a 3YO DASH FOR CASH colt is about to hit the track. Second dam, LEGEND OF ARABIA, also unraced, boasts a perfect record at stud. Her six winners all won in town, four of them at distances over 2000m, and 2 placed at Stakes level incl. Edbaysaan (3rd Doncaster St Leger [G1]). Third dam is the triple G1 winning racemare FAIR SALINIA (Epsom Oaks [G1]; Irish Oaks [G1]; York Yorkshire Oaks [G1]). Three of her 7 winning progeny were Stakes winner’s incl. PERFECT CIRCLE who also ran 5th in the G1 Newmarket 1000 Guineas.
ORATORIO is shaping as a versatile young Stallion, recording exceptional early results in both hemispheres over a bevy of distances to 2500m. UPSALA, one of ORATORIO’s 2YO NZ Stakes performers, is also out of a Mark of Esteem mare. This cross works and this fellow has the athleticism and conformation to back up a great running pedigree. Boasting a G1 winner (MANUWANUI - Golden Rose) and G2 placegetter (TORIO'S QUEST - 2d. Sebring Sprint) on the same day, his progeny are certainly making waves.

Exclusive Choice 5 year old Bay Gelding
5YO City Winning Gelding by Sire of Sires
REDOUTE’S CHOICE
REDOUTE’S CHOICE, son of DANEHILL and the World’s leading DANZIG line sire, was a Blue Diamond [G1] winner at 2 and triple Group 1 winner at 3 (MVRC Manikato S., [G1]; VATC Caulfield Guineas [G1]; CF Orr S. [G1]) including a Guineas’ win over fellow Top 10 Sires TESTA ROSSA and COMMANDS.
However, it is at stud that REDOUTE’S CHOICE has truly dazzled, boasting an incredible 80 Stakes winners to date, 20 of those at G1 level including 2YO superstars MISS FINLAND, SAMANTHA MISS and FASHIONS AFIELD as well as 10 3YO Classic winners including 2011 AJC Oaks [G1] winner ABSOLUTELY. His consistency as a sire is almost unsurpassed, maintaining a strike rate above 75% and a SW percentage above 10%. Now a Sire of Sires, 8 of his sire sons have left Stakes winners including Top 20 sire STRATUM as well as NOT A SINGLE DOUBT and SNITZEL. Currently 2d on the Leading sires table, REDOUTE’S CHOICE is a sire with little more to prove.
ZEPARTY, the unraced dam of this gelding boasts 1 winner from 1 to race and is a half sister to La Bamba, dam of Stakes winner and now NZ sire LUCKY UNICORN. Second dam, PARTY, a dual 2YO city winner herself, is the dam of multiple Group winning mare MASKED PARTY (AJC Galaxy H.[G1]; SA. [G2]; STC Premiere S. [G2]), as well as G1 winner FESTAL (WRC Telegraph H. [G1]). Other closely related Stakes performers include DRACULA (AJC Champagne S. [G1]; QTC Sires’ Produce S. [G1]; AJC George Main S. [G1]), THE OSCARS (2d. STC Silver Slipper S. [G2]), as well as Listed winners PROVENCE, SASH, BRANNIGAN and ZOOMETRIC.
A $500K Yearling purchase, this fellow has 11 starts under his belt to date for 2 wins (1 at Flemington), 3 placings and almost $100K in prizemoney. Unraced as a 4YO on account of niggling injuries, he has overcome these and is back in work with a clean bill of health, ready to go.
With plenty of black type on the dam side and a promising early career to boot, this gelding is a value option.
